Screwed (Issues 1-3)- Created by Tyler Kirkman Screwed issue #1 begins to tell the story of Anne who is literally jolted alive with electricity! With no memory of who she is or what she is! Now, Anne must put the pieces of her life back together all while trying to escape from a madman named Suture and the FBI. Issue #2 expands further into Anne's search for the truth of who she is, but her memories and visions could have deadly consequences. Issue #3 gets bloody with the bodies piling up and the race is on, on who can get to Anne first....Suture or the FBI.
I have always been a fan of Zenescope comics, with my first introduction to them with their Wonderland series, which is one of my favorites. I have always enjoyed their twisted way of re-telling a classic tale. It's risky to take a Bride of Frankenstein (who is an extremely popular horror icon) style character and integrate her into a modern story, but I think with these first 3 issues they are pulling it off quite nicely. The story and pace work really well and of course the art is in true Zenescope style. There is still plenty of story to tell in this comic and with only a 6 issue run I hope this comic doesn't end up Screwed. (available on comixology, Zenescope and your local comic book store)
