As we continue to celebrate Women in Horror Month, I'm excited to showcase, Jill Gevargizian (Call Girl and The Stylist) new short film BFF GIRLS, which she will producing! You can checkout the trailer below as well as info on upcoming screenings.



Trailer Released and World Premiere Announced for BFF GIRLS!

From the producers of GWILLIAM  and THE STYLIST comes the trailer for director Brian Lonano’s new short film, BFF GIRLS. This fantasy-comedy is about Rose, Lily and Violet; three dorky American girls magically transform into beautiful Japanese Superheroes and fight a tampon monster as they begin their journey into womanhood.
Coming into bloom this spring, BFF GIRLS  is set to have its world premiere at the Boston Underground Film Festival, March 21-25. Then, will travel onto the Chattanooga Film Festival, April 5-8, where a lot of the cast and crew will be in attendance, including Lonano, Victoria Cook (co-writer), Jill Gevargizian (producer) and Blake Myers (producer, production designer).  The film will also screen at the Florida Film Festival, April 6-15, as part of their wildly popular Midnight Shorts program.
Lonano is known for is fun, and rather gross, short films like GWILLIAM, CROW HAND, and THE TRANSMISSION. His work has screened all over the world, including SXSW, Slamdance, Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, winning countless awards.

Welcome to Horror & Shrill where I recommend a horror film for weekend viewing from one of the available streaming services (Netflix, Shudder, Hulu and Amazon).  The Autopsy of Jane Doe  (available on both Hulu  (most have Showtime add-on and Amazon Prime ) Directed by Andre Ovredal, The Autopsy of Jane Doe weaves a clever and suspenseful supernatural story of father and son coroners, Tommy (Brian Cox) and Austin (Emile Hirsch). When a Jane Doe corpse that was found buried in the basement of a murder site is wheeled into their morgue, this arrival will make their night anything, but routine. As the night progresses, both father and son each experience unnerving horror as every slice and dissect of Jane Doe pulls them further into madness.  I honestly can't recommend this movie enough, it's absolutely one of my favorite horror films of 2017! Kickstarter: Mixtape Massacre One of my guilty pleasures is playing games, especially board games. I have played all sorts of games, but being a huge horror fan I didn't really feel like their was a solid board game for my genre.
